Fish Fries 

The Dewitt Knights of Columbus #7237 will hold its annual fish fries every Friday beginning Feb. 16 from 4-6:30 p.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church. Dinner will include fried and baked fish, breadsticks, french fries and a vegetable. Cheese pizza also will be available. Pricing is to be determined. 

The Father Mac East Lansing Council 7816 Knights of Columbus fish fries will occur every Friday from Feb. 16-Mar. 22, from  4-7 p.m. Eat in, take-out and drive-through are available at the St. Thomas Aquinas School Gym, 915 Alton Road, East Lansing.

The Gaines Knights of Columbus 12186 will be holding their annual Lenten fish dinners each Friday, Feb. 16-Mar. 29, from 5-7 p.m.  Fish and/or shrimp, french fries, soups, salads and desserts all are available for dine-in or take-out.  Dinners are located at 12145 Ray Road in Gaines, but search for St. Joseph Parish Hall in Gaines in Google Maps.  Find us on Facebook @kofccouncil12186 for the latest updates. 

The Lansing Columbian Association at Columbus Hall, 5300 N. Grand River in Lansing, will hold its weekly fish fries from Feb. 16-Mar. 29 from 4:30-7 p.m. Fried and baked cod will be served, along with french fries, macaroni and cheese, cole slaw and coffee. Cost is $15 per person, and $10 for children under 14. Event is open to the public; call 517-321-2209 for more information.

Old St. Pat's of Ann Arbor will host its 46th annual Lenten Friday Fish Fries from  Feb. 16-Mar. 22, from 4:30-7 p.m. at 5671 Whitmore Lake Road in Ann Arbor.  Dinner includes fish, potato or macaroni and cheese, a salad bar and beverages. Prices will be determined, including discounts for seniors and children 12 and under.
Owosso Knights of Columbus hosts its Lenten Friday Fish Fries Feb. 16-Mar. 29, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at 1259 E. Main St. Dinner includes two pieces of fish, fries or baked potato, coleslaw and roll for $12. Shrimp dinners and combos are available.

St. Agnes Knights of Columbus Fish Fry is back!  Feb. 16-Mar. 22 from 4:30-7 p.m. in the Lothamer Parish Center, 855 E. Grand River Avenue, Fowlerville.  Stations of the Cross will follow at 7 p.m. in the church.  Call 517-223-8684 for more information. 

St. Joseph, Howell will host its fish fries from  Feb. 16-Mar. 22 from 4:30-7 p.m. Dine-in or carry-out options are available.  We will serve baked or fried cod, shrimp, macaroni and cheese  and assorted desserts.  Visit www.stjosephhowell.org for more information! 

St. Martha, Okemos, will host its fish fries from  Feb. 16-Mar. 22 from 5-7 p.m.  Baked cod, fried pollack, french fries, baked potato, macaroni and cheese, two kinds of cole slaw, bread, and beverages will be available for dine-in or take-out. 

St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Manchester, hosts its fish fry dinners at St. Mary Parish Center, 108 Madison Street (behind the Marathon gas station in the historic Village of Manchester). Meals are drive-through or take-out only Feb. 16-Mar. 22 from 3:30-7 p.m. The menu includes four pieces of beer battered deep fried (not baked) Pacific cod, tartar sauce, french fries, coleslaw, dinner roll and a homemade cookie. Cost is $15. 

St. Mary, Pinckney, will continue its Lenten fish fries Feb. 16-Mar. 22 from 4-7 p.m. Dine-in or carry-out options available. Stations of the Cross will be offered at 2:40 and 7 p.m. 

The Knights of Columbus from St. Peter Parish, Eaton Rapids, hosts its fish fries from Feb. 16- Mar. 22. Details will follow on the parish website at spceatonrapids.org.


Things to Do

St. Mary, Pinckney, will host an Emmaus Night filled with praise, worship, scripture and prayer on March 2 from 7-9 p.m. 

On March 2 from 8 a.m.-noon, Father Gabriel Richard High School will host a Familiaris Consortio conference entitled Male and Female He Created Them: Responding to Gender Dysphoria in Truth and Charity. The event features Dr. Paul Hruz and Rev. Sean Kilcawley. It is free and open to the public, but registration is requested at fgrhs.org/events.

The Knights of Columbus at St. Mary, Pinckney, will host a breakfast on Sunday, March 3 from 8:30-11 a.m. Free-will donation only.

The Lansing Deanery hosts a special mission, The Holy Spirit: The Presence, the Power, and the Promise, March 3-5 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at St. Thomas Parish, 955 Alton Rd, East Lansing.  In this three-evening mission led by Dr. Mary Healy, we will not only explore the nature of the Holy Spirit but call on him to heal us, open us to our own Pentecost and equip us to live lives of holiness and love. This event is for people who are high school freshmen or older, and will include confession and prayer ministry. Sorry, childcare is not available.

St. Louis Center invites you to Dine to Donate at Aubree’s Pizza on March 7, at the Dexter location only. Holy Spirit Roman Catholic School will host its first annual Spring Craft Show on March 16, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Holy Spirit Church and School Activity Center, located at 9565 Musch Road in Brighton. There will be approximately 30 wonderful and creative crafters, concessions and free admission! Please come and enjoy a wonderful afternoon of shopping and supporting local artisans.

St. Mary School, Pinckney, will host an Early Education Stem Night on March 19 from 5:45-7:30 p.m.

Father Gabriel Richard High School will host a Spring Admissions Open House on March 21 from 6-8 p.m. at 4333 Whitehall Dr., Ann Arbor. All families are invited to visit and learn about the academic excellence in an authentic Catholic community offered at FGR. Pre-registration at fgrhs.org/event will save time that evening.

The Owosso Knights of Columbus hosts its Tootsie Roll Drive Weekend March 22-24. Proceeds go to MI Special Olympics and Mid-MI ARC to support programs for developmentally disabled members of the community.

Special Needs Ministry

• The Diocese of Lansing’s Special Needs Ministry is sponsoring a special needs Mass on March 24 at 2 p.m. in the St. Francis Retreat Center Chapel located at 703 E. Main Street in Dewitt. After the Mass, please join us in the dining room for refreshments. • On the first, second and third Sundays of the month, Masses are ASL Interpreted at 9:30 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church located at 530 Elizabeth Street in Ann Arbor.

• Every Sunday, the 11 a.m. Mass is ASL Interpreted at Holy Redeemer Church, located on 1227 E. Bristol Road in Burton. 

• There will be an ASL Interpreted Mass on March 2 at 4:30 p.m. at St. Mary Church at 201 N. Westphalia Street in Westphalia. 

• There will be an ASL Interpreted Mass on March 16 at 4:30 p.m. at St. Gerard Church, located at 4437 W. Willow Highway in Lansing. 

• There will be a Deaf Mass on March 23 at 4:00 p.m. in the St. Mary Cathedral Church Crypt located at 219 Seymour Avenue in Lansing.
